De meest intieme vorm van fotograferen is iemands portret nemen. Je komt dan erg dichtbij je model. Het aangaan van een kortstondige vertrouwensband is dan essentieel. Het is niet mijn specialiteit, maar als ik ergens ben, dan doe ik 'het' gewoon. Eerst snapshots maken en dan maar kijken wat er van komt. Vaak met de telelens om toch een prettige 'Lebensraum' te bieden. Van de 100 foto's is er vaak maar 1 goed en dat maakt dit tot een van de moeilijkste vormen van fotografie.
